Report it, Stop it!
A two week Radio Campaign is to be aired on Real Radio Northeast 100-102 FM. The purpose of the Campaign is to raise the profile of safeguarding adults and to encourage the reporting of neglect and abuse.
The Campaign starts on Monday 14th March and runs for two weeks. To tie in with the Radio broadcasts, a number of posters and flyers are being produced which will be distributed to partner agencies across the City of Sunderland (see below).
The radio ads will promote a single telephone number to call when reporting abuse and the caller will hear a pre recorded message giving contact numbers for each of the local authorities in the region. There will be a national telephone number, available for twelve months and charged at a rate of 5p per minute from a BT line. The ads will also promote a micro website www.safeguardingadultsne.co.uk that will be available for twelve months. There will be a link from the Real Radio home page to the micro sight for the duration of the radio campaign. The micro website will contain general information about who are vulnerable adults and what constitutes abuse as well as providing links to each of the local authority websites.
The telephone contact, for Safeguarding Adults, in Sunderland is 0191 566 1736
